It is often said that the Transgender community is left behind while the LGB community marches forward. One issue often pointed to on this is Marriage Equality. Many Trans Activists will say that we should be focusing on basic Transgender rights instead of fighting for Marriage Equality. I am interested in hearing people's thoughts on this issue. It is true that the Transgender community feels left out, but Marriage Equality can help the Trans Community as well, as there are many LGB identified Trans individuals. Is it fair to say we have to pick only one issue? Why can't we work towards progress on multiple issues at the same time? Share our resources! I believe that so many issues intersect with other issues, and it is silly to become "one issue" activists.
